Getting to Know Mr. Hadyka
I am entering my seventh year here at Saint Thomas the Apostle School. I teach fourth grade. I am a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, with a bachelors in Elementary Education and a masters in Elementary Mathematics. I attended Catholic schools from K-12th grade, and am glad to be able to pass on the strong foundation for faith and academics that I learned. In my free time, I love to sing and to play guitar. I also love to travel the world. I have been to World Youth Day Pilgrimages in Australia, Spain, Brazil, Poland, and Panama. My family and I are really big fans of the Olympic games. I have been to the games in Atlanta '96, Vancouver '10, London '12, and Sochi '14. On top of all that, I love to sing. There is a video solo from a recent concert below.
Getting to Know Mrs. Hubert - Instructional Aide
It has been a pleasure learning about the STA community this school year. I spend most of my time in the 4th and 5th grade classrooms supporting the many exciting learning activities going on there. You can also catch me subbing and helping out in other classrooms as well. Before coming to STA, I spent seven years at Grace Academy in Hartford, several years at Saint Dominic School in Southington, and before I started my family, I was a teacher for eight years in Mahopac, New York. I hold teaching certifications in both Connecticut and New York states. My husband and I have been blessed with three children who have attended Catholic elementary schools and Northwest Catholic High School.
